Admission

Admission Requirements

Coram Deo residents must be over 18 with a sincere commitment to long-term sobriety. In most cases it will be necessary for an applicant to have completed an inpatient substance abuse treatment program as the emphasis at Coram Deo is sober living. That decision, however, will be made during the phone interview and the caller will be referred to other appropriate facilities if more intensive treatment is necessary. Every potential resident must be medically cleared before entering treatment at Coram Deo as we do not have medical staffing. Certain medications, such as opioids, benzodiazepines, and amphetamines, are not allowed at Coram Deo.

We do accommodate Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as Suboxone or Methodone.

The Admissions Process

The admissions process begins with filling out an online application and having your current provider fax over your most recent assessment. Once those two things are completed we will call you to schedule a phone screening.

Once the phone screen is completed you will be notified of your acceptance into our program. On some occasions we will need additional information or may choose to take your application to the Recovery Team for further review.

If you would like to schedule a visit or have a loved one come for a visit we are happy to make those arrangements. We find this practice to be helpful in alleviating some of the natural anxiety you may feel walking into a new situation.

There is no designated length of stay in our program. You can choose to stay as long or as short a time as you feel necessary to further your own recovery. On average residents stay 6 to 9 months with about 20% choosing to stay for at least a year and an additional 10% stay for over 2 years.

Coram Deo accepts “Basic Needs” through the Behavioral Health Recovery Program (BHRP) and private pay residents. To find out more about this program you can visit their website, www.abhct.com or call them directly at 1-800-658-4472.
